We bought a new cheesy flag this weekend. The kids absolutely love it. We paid three dollars and it was well worth it. It sings four different patriotic songs and waves electronically! It is perfect for the mornings that we are not outside. The kids will be memorizing the Pledge of Allegiance, and several songs this year. I know we are behind! They should already know this but we did it only occasionally last year. They have some wonderful color sheets that they will work on for their Geography on Monday. We even printed a nice copy of the Pledge to hang on the wall. I think even B.J. will appreciate this lesson. This is another great place for lessons on the flag that incorporate math patterns, art, literature, music, even civics (voting). Very laid out and not a lot of having to rework her plans.
